In 1997, Serbedzija co-starred with Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue in The Saint and followed that with Polish Wedding and Mighty Joe Young. His first appearance with Mission:Impossible 2 star Tom Cruise was in 1999 and the late Stanley Kubrick's final masterpiece, Eyes Wide Shut. Even with his steady work in Hollywood, Serbedzija still has time to play in a foreign film or two. He recently appeared in director Giuseppe Bertolucci's Dolce rumore della vita, Il, which premiered in 1999. Serbedzija also stars opposite Clint Eastwood and Tommy Lee Jones in Space Cowboys and Guy Ritchie's follow-up to Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels called Snatch.
