A veteran of T.V., Marisa Tomei had her first leading role in the movie Oscar opposite Sylvester Stallone. One year later, she won the role of Mona Lisa Vito in My Cousin Vinnie, a part that earned her a Oscar. She followed My Cousin Vinnie with Chaplin, Untamed Heart, and The Perez Family. Although she worked steadily throughout the '90s, she became a victim of the Oscar-slump. However, Tomei's performance in The Slums of Beverly Hills rekindled the public's interest in her. In 2002, she was nominated yet again for her work in In the Bedroom. |
