One of Steven Spielberg's most high-profile projects, Minority Report takes a futuristic look at crime-fighting in the distant 21st century. A Washington D.C. police officer (played by Tom Cruise) heads a special "pre-crime" division, and with the aid of psychics, arrests potential murderers before they can commit their crimes. When the officer discovers that he has been accused of a future crime, he must work to "undo" the circumstances that would lead him to murder. Minority Report is based upon a Philip K. Dick short story of the same name.
