The multi-talented writer/director Lasse Hallstrom scored back to back hits with 1999's Cider House Rules followed by 2000's Chocolat. The Stockholm native also directed such Hollywood fare What's Eating Gilbert Grape, My Life as a Dog, and The Shipping News. Hallstrom previously directed a number of foreign films including Tva Killar och en tjej (Happy We), Tuppen (The Rooster) and ABBA: The Movie.
