With the range to tackle both comedic and dramatic roles, Kevin Kline remains one of the more under-rated actors in Hollywood. Trained at Juliard, Kline spent his early career on-stage, mixing acting with his very first passion, music. Kline received Tony awards in 1978 and 1981, and made his film debut opposite Meryl Streep in the 1982 drama Sophie's Choice. Although he was poised for stardom, Kline preferred to remain on the fringe of the A-list, declining the roles that could have brought him the most fame. His relative obscurity could not hide his talent, however, and Kline received an Academy Award in 1988, for his supporting role in the off-beat farce A Fish Called Wanda. |
