The Best Actress category is piping hot with women exploring dark and dangerous themes while trying to find meaning in their own lives. Julianne Moore, who portrays a housewife in Far From Heaven, has already been named Best Actress by L.A. and Toronto writers. Her co-stars from The Hours Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep are going head-to-head, while Renee Zellweger joins the fray with her performance in Chicago. Young upstart Maggie Gyllenhaal joins the party with her number in Secretary, while Salma Hayek enters the race with her portrayal of Mexican artist Frida. Finally, Diane Lane makes a much talked about comeback with her work in Unfaithful.

NominOptions allow traders to buy and sell the hottest Oscar contenders with these exclusive securities centered around the 75th Academy Awards. The leading contenders for nominations are being offered in each of the eight major award categories.

Thirteen HSX NominOptions will be issued in each of the eight major categories. Each NominOption is offered at H$5.00. The NominOptions will halt trading at 9 p.m. EST on Monday, Feb. 10, in preparation for Tuesday, Feb. 11, when Oscar nominations will be announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Each option of a nominated film or star will cash out at H$13.00, while those NominOptions failing to secure a nomination will delist at H$0.00.
