Doug Wright adapts Quills from his own award winning play. Quills speculates on the climactic final days of the Marquis de Sade spent in confinement at Charenton Asylum for his pornographic writings. The period piece is set in 18th Century France and features Geoffrey Rush as the outlandish marquis. Joaquin Phoenix plays the priest who runs the asylum the Marquis befriends while Kate Winslet plays a laundress who helps the Marquis publish his work. Fox Searchlight released Quills, which was directed by Philip Kaufman.

NominOptions NominOptions allow Traders to buy and sell the hottest Oscar contenders with these exclusive securities centered around the 73rd Academy Awards. The leading contenders for nominations are being offered in the eight major award categories. Thirteen HSX NominOptions will be issued in each of the eight major categories beginning January 18th. Each NominOption is offered at H$2.50. The NominOptions will halt trading at 11pm on Monday, February 12th in preparation for Tuesday, February 13th, when Oscar nominations will be announced by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Each option of a nominated film or star will cash out at H$6.50, while those NominOptions failing to secure a nomination will delist at H$0.00. |
