The legendary Chinese warrior Hua Mulan was a dutiful daughter disguises herself as a man in order to take her father's place in the army and becomes a great general. Michelle Yeoh was previously attached to star, but will now only produce. The film is written by Wang Hui-Ling. The character was also the subject of the 1998 Disney film Mulan.
